Our Philosophy

Having both taught in the primary setting, we believe prep has taken a more structured approach to learning and that children can struggle with the pressures of this gigantic leap into formal schooling. We feel that supporting the acquisition of the traditional non-academic skills and traits such as social skills, language skills, independence, fine motor, self-regulation, concentration, emotional maturity, confidence and resilience can have major benefits in a successful transition into the Prep year. These skills and traits are so important as they are what allow our children to learn and grow. We will be exposing children to pre literacy and pre numeracy skills but through immersion and purposeful play experiences. Our little ones will be having so much fun they wont even realise they’re learning.

With the pressures of modern life, parents have never been busier. Life with kids is hectic regardless of how you spend your days. As Mums we understand the struggle of achieving a balanced lifestyle and ensuring we look after not only our little ones, but ourselves. As the saying goes, ‘You can’t pour from an empty cup. Take care of yourself first’.  Our hope is that with this time, parents will dedicate two (three, or five!) hours to themselves. Whether that time is spent getting the groceries in peace or gaining some peace from a yoga class, we want parents to feel that during this personal time their little ones are learning and growing with us.

“Together may we give our children the roots to grow and the wings to fly.”
